Training

Our Trainers

Our training sessions are taken care of by Nick Fransman and Finn Achthoven, who find us many challenging exercises every week. Both trainers are professional badminton players, who train themselves in Papendal.

Training Times & Location

Trainings are held at Sports Center the Bongerd (Bornsesteeg 2, 6708 PE Wageningen).

There is a procedure regarding in which training group you play as a member. You always start in the beginners training group on Wednesday from 17:30-19:00. If you think you should belong in a higher group you can say this to the trainer at the beginning of a training session. The trainer will then at the end decide if you can join a group higher (intermediate or advanced). If the trainer sees immediately that you belong to a higher group he will let you know.

Try-out sessions

In September, there are three free introduction training sessions. During these training sessions you can get to know the ways of badminton and find out if BC the Lobbers is something for you. After these three training sessions, you will have to decide whether you want to become a member or not.
If you like to join a training session during the season, this is of course also possible. If you have sport rights, you can come for a free training session. Make sure to e-mail us at least 48 hours before the training you want to join (lobbers@wur.nl), so we can register you for the training. If you don’t have sport rights, you have to buy them first or join during the sport right free week.
