BC de Lobbers is kept running smoothly by various committees, each playing a crucial role in the club’s operations and events. If you’re interested in contributing to any of these committees, feel free to reach out to the board for more information. Besides the board, these committees include the following:
Activity Committee (Accie)
The Activity Committee of 3 till 6 members is responsible for organizing four non-badminton related activities each year. These activities range from bowling and laser games to Crazy 88 challenges and more. They also arrange the New Year’s drink in January and the end-of-year barbecue in July. Additionally, they assist the board with organizing the Lobbers weekend.
Rijncup Committee
The Rijncup Committee, consisting of a chair, secretary, treasurer (from the board), and 2/3 members in the party committee, organizes the annual Rijncup Tournament every May, which spans an entire weekend. They ensure that matches run according to schedule, organize a barbecue on Saturday, and plan the party that takes place between Saturday and Sunday.
Lustrum Committee
The Lustrum Committee is active every five years, organizing special events to celebrate the club’s lustrum. They consist of 4 members who organize some extra activities and a party during the lustrum year.
Treasury Control Committee
This committee, consisting of two members, ensures that the board’s budget is accurate and that no financial mistakes are made, maintaining the financial health of the club.
Competition leader (CCP)
The CCP is responsible for coordinating the competition which we play nationally via the Dutch Badminton Association (BN). The CCP collects interested members, makes teams in consultation with the trainers, and is the contact person for BN and competition players.
Committee of advice
Comprising experienced members and former board members, the Committee of advice provides valuable guidance and advice to the current board. There are yearly two meetings to discuss and evaluate the boards’ strategies.

The Continuity Committee is in place to ensure that the board can continue its operations smoothly in case of any unexpected events. The committee generally consists of former board members and luckily so far have not needed to come into action.
